Doctor Who and the Women

This is just a little call to attention of the one issue I have with the current season of Doctor Who.  This romantic triangle stuff is just killing the show for me.  No, I daresay it is strangling the life out of the series.  The subtle romantic element has already been done to death with Rose, and then we knew Martha had some feelings but she knew nothing could compete with Rose.  Now we have this Amy pond throwing herself at him all the time and sure he is shunning her advances, but only slightly.  It seems like this most recent episode was meant to solidify her relationship with Rory, and I truly hope that’s the case.  I just don’t see romance as a key part of the Doctor, but maybe others love it and I just don’t get it.  C’est l’amour.
